Andrews Johns…world’s greatest ever NRL player?
Andrews Johns, hearing from the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales it was no in doubt that his father would be a coal miner and starter of his career.
Andrew played Rugby League for Cessnock throughout his upbringing where perhaps the free time and country air meant he could often experiment with his brother Mathew, a prominent part of the NRL footy show. Andrew joined the Newcastle Knights in 1989 where as a young player started off and on the bench.
Johns first grade debut was in 1994 against a than contesting South Sydney Rabbitohs. Within this match alongside his brother Matt, Andrew scored 23 points winning man of the match with a great first impact.

Honestly, could the stats get any bigger. This is a player who has dominated the world game, where players that use to look upon this man as an idol now play alongside or against him. He is a man of character, of loyalty to his club, and should be crowned the worlds best on and off the field player, a true gentlemen of the game who's on field banter is as big as his off field banter. Joey johns, world's best.
