The Big Week

The first origin is here and its prooving to be as exiting as any origin! The final days of training for players could be for some their first and only chance to represent their state. Let it be known that queensland is sporting 7 new players left, right and centre as new south wales itself, could be without Buderus and pushing Gower to lead the side, even after being dropped by his side as captain for an off field sager. But will he still have his confidence....
For some players the state of origin could perhaps be seen as the pinnacle of their career as two sides trade blow for blows in an epic test of courage and determination. This is a game where players put their heart and soul into the game, and supporters scream, letting the players run off their adrenaline...
Last year was an action packed game, though predominantly dictated by Andrew Johns. This year, they will be without the star player, and as Paul Vautin believes, will also be without the trophy.
"This is the best opportunity Queensland has had for years," Vautin told The Courier Mail."
"I thought they were not too bad last year but Andrew Johns made the difference.
"He won't be there this year but we can't afford to think we can just go out there and win because of that.
"They've still got a lot of internationals and Queensland has seven players making their debut but they've got a wonderful opportunity to take the series."
Coverage for the game starts at 7:30 AEST sydney, so tune in for an action packed game!
