Rash of the Week
May 30th 2006 07:41
This week i will be starting the honourable rash of the week...i figure a rash is but something that starts on the inside working its way out. This can be through people not knowing its a secret, and telling the world, or by pure exposure where the rash is seen by all, being hideous and infectious. What does this have to do with a footy player you may ask, absolutely nothing, besides i would like to use this term to refer to tribunal decisions whereby a player is sin-binned for a term or period and the world finds out, choosing to point out the culprit, as like, A RASH!
This weeks rash is none other than St George's skipper Trent Barrett, side-lined on the weekend for a period of 6 weeks after the 38-12 win over a thundering Newcastle Knight's. Barrett pleaded guilty to a grade five striking charge on Brian Carney somewhat hoping for a minimal sentence, but however no leniency was given to the ex Australian Representative who leaves for England at the end of the season.
Trent Barrett, well done, you are crowned the first Rash of the Week.
