Salary Cap increases! Yesday, it was announced that the NRL salary cap would be increased to 4million dollars for the 2006/'2007 season jumping from the previous 3.3million offered.
An increase could somewhat be justified as a reward for the money going into sport to promote the game which has taken on considerable size over the last decade or two.
However i ask the question, will players now be chasing their game for the love of the money again?, a topic i have already questioned in a previous blog.
Yet, for what NRL boss David Gallop has done for the game all credit is due for the justification of such a pay increase. However, will this money be used for attracting high key players from other clubs leaving other NRL players in the same position?
Only time will tell...
